Cemetery Description: |
The cemetery contains the graves of Jews from both Rauischholzhausen and nearby Wittelsberg. The cemetery is located on a hillside in a park called Landschafts Schutzgebiet near the Gefassversuchsstation Phytotron.
The cemetery seems to be in good condition. This is evident from the photos as well as the person who took the photos. Apparently there is a caretaker that cleans the cemetery a few times per year.
The photographer took both front and back photos of the stones. In some cases one side of the stone is inscribed in Hebrew and the reverse in German. We were able to link only 1 photo to each record. If you are looking for an additional photo, please contact JewishGen. |
