Pyrénées-Atlantiques department, Aquitaine region. The Jewish Cemetery at the Gurs Concentration Camp is managed by the city of Karlsruhe, Germany. Known in German as the Deportiertenfriedhof des Internierungslagers Gurs, the cemetery was the final resting place of many Jews from Baden and after the war during the years 1957-1963 different cities in Baden agreed to undertake the upkeep of the former concentration camp site and the cemetery.
