Var department, Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur region. The grave of Jonah DURAN, from the famous DURAN family of Algerian Rabbis was discovered in 1927 by M. Tercissius Esopi while I was doing work on his property. It was declared a national historic monument in 1953.
