The land now known as Bathurst Lawn Memorial Park (known as the Woods Cemetery for many years) was purchased in the early 1930s by the Ivansker Mutual Benefit Society. Initially, forty-five synagogues and societies purchased segments of the cemetery from Ivansker. In later years, other organizations purchased parts of these segments. By 2007, there were fifty-five separate cemeteries making up Bathurst Lawn Memorial Park.
The newest section in the cemetery, this section occupies the entire south side of the Jerusalem Road roadway. The section consists of 130 rows numbered sequentially from 1 eastwards; each row is identified by a sign on the south fence. Plots are numbered sequentially from 1 (closest to Jerusalem Road) southwards to 9 (adjacent to the south fence).
Plots in Bathurst Gardens are allocated to the societies as follows: Ivansker Mutual Benefit Society -- rows 1 through 9; Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda -- rows 10 through 16 and row 17 plots 3 - 9; Farband of Lithuania -- row 17 plots 1 - 2, rows 18 and 19, row 20 plots 4 - 9; Beth Zion Congregation -- row 20 plots 1 - 3, row 21, row 22 plots 4 - 9; United Jewish People's Order -- row 22 plots 1 - 3, rows 23 and 24, row 25 plots 8 - 9; Hebrew Sons of David -- row 25 plots 1 - 7, rows 26 and 27, row 28 plots 4 - 9; Apter Friendly Society -- row 28 plots 1 - 3, rows 29 through 33, row 34 plots 5 - 9; Stashiver Young Men's Society -- row 34 plots 1 - 4, rows 35 through 40, row 41 plots 5 - 9; Beth Israel Anshei Minsk -- row 42 plots 3 - 9; Shomrai Shabot Chevra Mishnayoth -- row 42 plots 1 - 2, rows 43 through 50, row 51 plots 5 - 9; Clanton Park Synagogue -- row 51 plots 1 - 4, rows 52 through 54, row 55 plots 6 - 9; Agudath Israel Cemetery Association -- row 55 plots 1 - 5, row 56, row 57 plots 3 - 9; Shaarei Tefillah Congregation/Anshei Apter -- row 57 plots 1 - 2, rows 58 and 59, row 60 plots 4 - 9. The remaining plots (row 60 plots 1 - 3 and rows 61 through 130) are community plots.

We can often provide larger or higher-resolution photos than those appearing here, as well as photos of the reverse side of headstones (when relevant information, such as memorial inscriptions, appears there). Headstone photographs for more recent burials can also be requested at this address and are anticipated to be fulfilled during the summer and fall months.
