Elgin Mills Cemetery is a multi-denominational cemetery which has served the communities of Richmond Hill, Markham, Aurora, and Thornhill since 1979.
The Oraynu Congregation for Humanistic Judaism section is an identifiably-Jewish section which permits interfaith burials of non-Jews with their Jewish partner or family member, as well as cremation spaces. The Oraynu Congregation section occupies the westernmost portion of section 2, which is located at the northern edge of the cemetery property. It is bordered on the north by fencing bordering Elgin Mills Road East; on the west by a berm adjacent to the main (Elgin Mills Road East) entrance to the cemetery; and on the south by the internal cemetery roadway.
