Cemetery Description: |
Holy Blossom Memorial Park is owned by Holy Blossom Temple, Toronto's first synagogue and a leading Canadian Reform Jewish congregation. The cemetery was opened in 1929 to accommodate growth beyond the space available at the congregation's first cemetery (Pape Avenue Cemetery, also known as Holy Blossom Cemetery). In addition to standard cemetery plots, the Memorial Park includes a section of family plots (section FP) and cremation plots (section CR).
Headstone photographs are available for most burials through 2012/2013 (and are in the process of being added to JOWBR). Please contact cemetery@JGSToronto.ca to request a headstone photograph; please provide the decedent's name, cemetery section, row (if applicable), and plot numbers. Headstone photographs for more recent burials can also be requested at this address and are anticipated to be fulfilled during the summer months.
