Beth Tzedec Memorial Park was established in 1949 by Toronto's Beth Tzedec Congregation. The congregation resulted from the amalgamation of two of the oldest pioneer congregations in Toronto, Goel Tzedec and Beth Hamidrash Hagadol (the McCaul Street Synagogue). [Burials for these synagogues can also be found in the Dawes Road and Jones Avenue cemeteries.].
