British Jewish Casualties: Anglo-Boer War 1899-1902

By Eric Feinstein

BACKGROUND

This is a list of some of the Jewish soldiers who died serving with the British armed forces in the Anglo-Boer War of 1899-1902.  It was originally compiled by the South African Jewish Sociological and Historical Society as the “Memorial List.  South African War. 1899-1902.”  It was actually a compilation of three different Jewish casualty lists, one for 1899-1900, 1900-1901 and 1901-1902.  The current source for the information came from the SA Rochlin Archives, of the South African Jewish Board of Deputies.
