Background

The database is a listing of Jews deported from the Berg internment camp — near Tønsberg, Norway — to Auschwitz, where most died.  Most were Norwegian, but there were also persons from other countries who were residing in Norway.

I Slik en Natt by Kristian Ottosen (publisher Aschehoug, 1994), contains a complete list of Jews deported from Norway.

Database

This database includes 221 records of Jews deported from the Berg.  The fields for this database are as follows:

  • Name (Family Name, Given Name)
  • Date of Birth
  • Place of Birth
  • Nationality
