Hungarian Jewish Survivors in Buchenwald

This database includes 707 Hungarian Jewish survivors from Buchenwald concentration camp.
Background
This collection consists of a compilation of six lists, all apparently prepared in April 1945
by a committee of male and female Hungarian Jewish survivors from
Buchenwald concentration camp.
The lists are available
at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum ,
Randolph Braham collection, RG 52.010.01.
The six lists are as follows:
- Seven pages, prepared between April 21 and 25, 1945, consisting of 185
names of males. The information is limited to former prisoners' family and given names
and prisoner number. This, and the sixth list, are the only lists which contain prisoner
numbers.
- Three pages, includes about 120 male names, including family and
given names, date and place of birth, and last place of residence in Hungary.
- Seven pages, approximately 250 male names including family and
given names, date and place of birth, and last place of residence in Hungary.
- Ten pages, consisting of approximately 70 names of women, contains more
detailed information than the previous lists, including mother's maiden name as well as
street address at former residence.
- Two pages, undated,the only handwritten list and provides the names
of about 45 persons, with family and given names, and place and street address of last
residence.
- One page, undated,consisting of nine names and prisoner numbers. No further
information is given.
