On pages 77/8, the pictures were interchanged. The one on page 79 belongs on page 77, column 2. [The same note for the Hebrew and Yiddish caption].
On page 158, it should say “From right to left” below the photo. [the same note for the Hebrew and Yiddish caption].
On page 180, after the 19th line, the following line should be there: “Conducted in an exemplary fashion, and with feeling. His pictures are found.”
On page 215, line 27: instead of meitev and hamrona, it should have said letters, and the latter. [note, this was a Hebrew typo correction. The original words had no meaning.]
On page 223: Sitting in the photo – Sender Lubling. [Hebrew caption].
On page 223, under the picture, there should be three chalutzim instead of two. 2. Sitting is Sender Lubling. [Yiddish caption].
On page 224, under the photo, “Referring to the northern wall in the synagogue, with Nazi bullet holes. [The same note for the Hebrew and Yiddish caption].
On page 239, line 37, second row. Instead of the philanthropist Reb Hershel Luftig, it should say Reb Zeev Werdiger.
On page 283, under the photo, the word was cut off – In the war.
On page 286, the last one in the photo is Asher Gitler and not his brother Nachum.
On page 305, row 2, rows 13-14 were interchanged.
On page 314, under the final name in the picture. Instead of Sim it should say Sima.
On page 319, row 13, column 2. In the title it should be Avraham instead of Aharon.
The following errors occurred in some of the books:
On page 400, column 2 (the Hebrew section of the Yizkor), row 1, instead of Uvirachat Kavod, it should say Beyirat Kavod [with awe and honor] [This was a typo in the Hebrew].
On page 400, row 2, instead of Hatehorot vehakot zashel, it should say Hatehorot vehazechut shel [The pure, and the merit of]. [This was a typo in the Hebrew]
1. The article by Dr. E. Ringelblum (page 204), “Notes from the Warsaw Ghetto” was transcribed in its original form, without change.
2. In the article by M. Hampel on the left leaning Poalei Tzion (page 264), the name of Moshe Meislis was omitted from the activists of the party.
3. Regarding the article by M. Hampel about Będzin natives in Israel (page 389), it should be noted that the effort to construct a fence around the monument to the martyrs of Zagłębie in Israel was made possible through the support of our friend Yochanan Laudan, one of those active in the Organization of Zagłębie natives.
4. The editors are not responsible for the content of the mourning notices and names in the section “Będzin Natives Unite with the Memory of their Relatives.”
5. After the typesetting of the section “Będzin Natives Unite with the Memory of their Relatives” we received many other mourning notices too late. Unfortunately, we were not able to place them into the black frames of the pages.
6. We have identified the names in most of the photographs, but, in some of them, we could not identify everyone.
7. The photograph “Ch. N. Bialik together with people from Będzin” (page 317) was published for the first time in our book. It was given to the “Bialik Archives and Museum” in Tel Aviv by the editorial committee.
8. The editorial committee expresses its gratitude to our friend and fellow native, Getzel Brenner, for his fine work in preparing the cliches [I suspect this refers to the headings].
