In Yiddish, Paportshy A village in the Trakai district, 10 km northeast of the county town of Zasliai. In 1866, the village had 225 residents and among them were 28 Jews. In October, 1922, 3 Jews from Paparciai voted in the elections to the first Lithuanian Seimas. In June, 1941, when the Germans conquered Lithuania, the fate of the Jews of Paparciai was the same as the fate of the Jews in the surrounding areas.
