(Yiddish, Bubel)
A county town in the Sakiai district, 5 km north of Kudirkos Naumiestis. 29 Jews lived in the town in 1923. According to the 1931 census conducted by the Lithuanian government, Jews owned in the town a soda factory, a wool carding factory, and 2 flourmills. In June of 1941, when the Germans conquered Lithuania, the fate of the Jews of Bubaliai was the same as the fate of the other Jews in the area.
