The Helmec Cemetery
Situated in the north of the town, 140 m long and 40-60 m wide. The oldest
tombstone dates from 1872. The Hevra Kaddisha was established in 1852. The
tombstones turn to the east. The pictures: In one section of the cemetery, Schön
Willy, the faithful caretaker; another one with the new part of Helmec in the
background.

Fifty years after the Holocaust and the destruction of our communities, the
remnants of Helmec and the district communities with their families, gather at
the Beth Hatefuzoth in Tel Aviv. Old friends and relatives from Israel and
abroad meet again, revive and make new acquaintances, prior to the Memorial
Assembly.
