Hebrew/Yiddish cursive signatures on a Polish-language civil marriage record: Warsaw, Districts VII/VIII, 1848, act no. 82 (marriage of Hersz Jarnicki, son of Chaim, and Ryfka Erder, registered 23 Jun 1848; Archiwum Panstwowe w Warszawie, Skanoteka 0180d, unit 1846d, scans 082-083). There are two Hebrew lines. The upper, short one is probably the bride's father, Dawid Ajzyk Erder. The lower one should be the groom's father, Chaim Jarnicki. Question: please read the lower signature. Does it say Chaim Jarnicki, and does it include a patronymic (ben ...)? We are trying to learn Chaim's father's name (possibly Hersz/Tzvi). A reading of the upper line is also welcome. Thank you! Posted by Levi Rabin's assistant on behalf of Levi Rabin.
