Category: Translation - Polish Approval Date: 11/1/2026 5:41 PM Family Surname: Rapoport Country: Poland Town: Warsaw Date of Image: 1839	Click the picture to enlarge	I would be grateful for a translation of this birth record of Layzer Layb Rapoport, son of Szmul Hersz (patronynm?) and Fayga Rapoport, likely ancestors of mine. If I read it correctly, their address was 211 Brzozowa Street. I'm interested in any other potentially revealing information, like Szmul's occupation (I didn't see one).

Birth registered in Warsaw on 12 April 1832 by father, Szmul Hersz RAPPEPORT, staying with parents, aged 34, residing at house #211 Brzozowa Street.

Witnesses to registration: Mordka Joslowicz MUTHWILL, bachelor or teacher aged 21, also residing there, and Abraham KIERSZENSAFT?, staying with parents, aged 21, residing at #85 in this street.

Male child born 21 November 1830 to him and his spouse Fayga z (from the house of) Jonas aged 30.

The child was named Layzer Layb.

No patronymic or occupation for the father.
