This was a letter from my great grandfather to my grandfather Leonard Caplan in Yiddish. My grandfather came to the US in 1920. His parent and two brothers and sister "stayed behind." They were massacred in their village.

I have additional images which I am also sharing in another file.

10/2/2026 12:27 PM The letter is signed by Iser and is to his son. The first page hasn't been uploaded. He asks his son what his new business is, whether the situation in America has improved, and whether America will get involved in the conflict between Italy and Abyssinia. He also asks Hannah to write a few words about their new business. He thanks his son for the money and wishes him mazzal tov on the birth of his son Avraham Yitzhak, and asks whom the baby was named after.
