1888 Jewish birth record, act 27, Krasnobrod (Zamosc State Archive, fond 88/777, unit 12, scan 30). Please translate in full, or at least: the child's name and birth date; the father's name, occupation and age; the mother's name, maiden name and exact age; the witnesses' names and ages; and why the father was absent. I am especially interested in the mother's age (I read it as 27) and anything about the Milc/Libel families. №27. Состоялось в селе Подкляттор (может Подклиштор) 1888 года 2/14 сентября .
Явились: Абрам Борк, школьник, 53 года, в посаде Красноброды живущий и в присутствии свидетелей, жителей Красноброды, божничных дозорцев: Лейба Либель, 48 лет и Мотка Эльбаум, 41 год и предъявили нам младенца женского пола, объявляя, что он родился в посаде Красноброды 27 августа/ 8 сентября теущего года в 3 часа ночи, от отца Хаима Берг Минтз, заработника (работника), 48 лет и законной его жены Рыфки, урожденной Либель, 27 лет, постоянных жителей посада Красноброды.
Младенцу этому при религиозном обряде дано имя Гриня (или Грипа; буква «н» и буква «п» одинаково иногда писали).
Отец не смог лично явится подать заявление по причине болезни.
Акт прочитан и всеми подписан, кроме неграмотного свидетеля: Мотка Эльбаум.

No. 27. Drawn up in the village of Podklyattor (possibly Podklishtor) on September 2/14, 1888.
Appeared: Abram Bork, a *shkolnik* [synagogue attendant], aged 53, residing in the *posad* [market town] of Krasnobrody; and—in the presence of witnesses and residents of Krasnobrody who serve as synagogue wardens—Leyba Libel, aged 48, and Motka Elbaum, aged 41. They presented to us a female infant, declaring that she was born in the *posad* of Krasnobrody on August 27 / September 8 of the current year at 3:00 a.m., to the father Khaim Berg Mintz, a laborer, aged 48, and his lawful wife Ryfka, née Libel, aged 27—permanent residents of the *posad* of Krasnobrody.
During the religious ceremony, the infant was given the name Grinya (or Gripa; the letters "n" and "p" were sometimes written identically).
The father was unable to appear in person to submit the declaration due to illness.
The record was read aloud and signed by all, except for the illiterate witness Motka Elbaum.
