  • November 7, 2002. American and Canadian Rabbis in the Samuel Ephraim Tiktin Collection - a list of 205 rabbis whose biographies may be found in the collection, located at the YIVO Institute of Jewish Research.

  • September 25, 2002. Article published in the Online Journal: Web Site Review: JewishEncyclopedia.com, reviewed by Lawrence D. Weinberg. This site features the unedited contents of the original Jewish Encyclopedia (1901-1906). Tips on how to search and navigate the site are included in the review.
  • September 12, 2002. The Research Groups Project has been launched. Find out how to start your own research group.
  • August 27, 2002. Announcement: The entire 12-volume Jewish Encyclopedia, published 1901-1906, is now online.
  • August 26, 2002. Article published in the Online Journal: Meorei Galicia: Encyclopedia Lekhakhmei Galicia (Encyclopedia of Galician Sages), by Rabbi Meir Wunder. Reviewed by Chaim Freedman; a description of this five-volume work, including translation of part of the Auerbach family entries.
