Discover your ancestral town, explore geographic/regional based sections of the JewishGen site (Research Divisions), and explore what daily life was like for your ancestors - and what we can learn from them today.
Connect with tens of thousands of other JewishGen members via the Family Finder, Discussion Group, Facebook Group, and ViewMate. It's a great way to share success, ask questions, and stay informed of the happenings throughout the Jewish genealogical community.
The JewishGen site is offered as a free public resource. However, it costs a lot of money to maintain and expand our services. If you are in a position to do so, please consider a contribution today - your support will make a difference!
JewishGen-erosity — Peter & Mary Kalikow Center
The Museum of Jewish Heritage (of which JewishGen is an affiliate), is establishing the Peter and Mary Kalikow Jewish Genealogy Research Center, which will contain computer stations where people can access JewishGen’s genealogy resources and vast collection of records and data. It will have printers for visitors to bring their research home, and it will contain hundreds of Yizkor (Memorial) Books and print materials. There will be an on staff genealogist, along with volunteers and other content experts to assist people.
Please help support this important initiative - it will be greatly appreciated, and make a difference to the thousands of people who walk through the doors of the Museum each year.
