Please note the following when searching this database

• It was and remains customary for some Sephardi surnames to contain a first and second surname.  In this database the first surname has been incorporated into the given name in capital letters

• Many of the deceased's first names were not entered in the register and thus you will find 'no name given' alongside the first surname

• The comment column may include an observation such as son, daughter, wife, widow etc., or stillborn (up to five weeks old)

• There are a couple of burials of a limb only
